Confused by all this Team this bloke or that bloke?  Well we were up in Battersea Park yesterday evening with LoveFilm to capture the hysteria that surrounds the launch of the new Twilight Saga : New Moon film. If you haven’t heard of it then all you need to know is its got vampires, werewolves and two leading guys that send girls and womens hearts a flutter, and make them scream like banshees! It suffices to say that by the end of the night it was not our necks but ears that were bleeding!

We got interviews with both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and a quick sound bite from Kirstin Stewart, wrapped at 7:30pm and after a quick review of the footage at the pub with LoveFilm’s editor Helen, we jumped on the train back to Brighton, setting the footage capturing and everything was edited & uploaded by 2am – ready for the LoveFilm to put live.

They have teamed up with cmypitch.com to offer business mentoring via a Dragons Den style pitching process. Fat Sand covered the event and produced this short highlight film.

Tuesday night saw over 50 people turn out for the Brighton premiere of The Beautiful Losers at the Prescription Art Gallery. The current exhibition by the Heavy Artillery Crew complimented the film so perfectly and everyone left feeling inspired.

We’ve had A LOT of late nights over the past month covering the London Film Festival for our friends at LoveFilm. It finally came to a close on Thursday night with a star studded awards ceremony at Temple. Enjoy.

We have organised a screening of The Beautiful Losers, a film celebrating the spirit behind one of the most influential cultural moments of a generation. It’s going down on November 3rd at the Prescription Art Gallery on Church St, Brighton.

In the early 1990’s a loose-knit group of likeminded outsiders found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. Rooted in the DIY (do-it-yourself) subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop & graffiti, they made art that reflected the lifestyles they led. Developing their craft with almost no influence from the “establishment” art world, this group, and the subcultures they sprang from, have now become a movement that has been transforming pop culture.

Fat Sand were commisioned by Visit Brighton to produce a video for the chill out area at this years Labour Party conference at the Brighton Centre. Our camera crew
spent a few days out in the sun capturing some classic Brighton footage including an impromptu dance performance at the recently renovated bandstand. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

We’re pretty excited as we’ve just been shortlisted as the ‘Best Place to Work’ in the Brighton and Hove Business Awards. We’re also out filming with BAHBA organisers, Midnight Communications on Friday and will be showcasing the finished product at the BAHBA’s on October 9th, hope to see you all there, wish us luck!
